Roccoco house with unique underground rooms
The exhibition of Viticulture is located on the ground floor and in the cellars of the Apponyi House at 1 Radničná ulica (Town Hall Street).
The house was built in 1771–1772 on the place of older Baroque city palace erected instead of two medieval town houses.
The first exhibition named Bratislava Wine Museum was open in 1932 on the ground floor of the house. After the completion of structural changes of the original medieval cellars in 1966, a new bigger exhibition of wine and viticulture was made public. Later on it was completed with a sample of wine presses in the courtyard of the house.
The complex renovation of the house completed in 2008, the Museum presented a new exhibition titled Museum of Viticulture.
